We’re here to make running your business easier. But sometimes your bookkeeper will need your help. Here’s a peek at how we work each month, and what you can expect:
- When you get started at Bench, our team will help you connect your financial accounts to the app
- Each month, your bookkeeper will get started on your books as soon as your financial data is available. If you’re required to upload any documents manually, your bookkeeper will reach out as soon as possible to let you know
- Communication is a two-way street: your bookkeeper may reach out with questions, and we’ll need to hear from you. Likewise, you can message your bookkeeper in-app or book a call at any time. Ask your bookkeeper anything, and our team of experts will deliver the info you need to make your next best move—and they’ll reply in one business day or less.

Nope! All bookkeeping is completed in-house.
Your bookkeeper will be your main point of contact, but at times you might hear from another member of your team. This is usually when your bookkeeper goes on vacation, is sick, or otherwise unavailable.
We handle the bookkeeping for you but sometimes we’ll need your input, especially at year-end. On average, expect to spend 15 minutes each month answering questions for your bookkeeper, or uploading supporting docs.
