Contents
We publish content produced by our in-house team, and guest posts by experts in their field.
If you’d like to contribute to the Bench Blog, please read these guidelines before sending in your submission.
Content Quality
We’re interested in original, well-researched, and factually accurate content. Even though we write for an audience of seasoned entrepreneurs, the advice we provide is always easy to follow.
When you write for Bench, make sure you substantiate information with research, data, and quotes, attributed to trusted sources.
Include images of anything that your article aims to convey (screenshots are fine).
Length should be a minimum of 1,000 words (unless the topic doesn’t call for it), but articles 2000+ words in length are accepted.
We will not publish clickbait or promotional posts, nor will we include a sales driven call to action at the end of your article.

About Our Readers
Our readership is comprised of US based small business owners across a variety of industries.
Readers draw upon the Bench Blog when they’re struggling to navigate the IRS website, or when they’re looking to optimize and grow aspects of their small business, but don’t know where to start.
Although reader knowledge of SMB financial matters ranges from beginner to expert, the majority of our readers are established entrepreneurs.
This means that while submissions to help entrepreneurs get started in small business financial management are welcome, content that helps entrepreneurs optimize their small business and build upon their financial success are often the most well-received.
Guest Post Guidelines
- Familiarize yourself with the topics we write about, and use the search box to make sure we haven’t written about your idea already. We’re keenly interested in submissions that fill gaps in our content.
- Browse a handful of Bench articles to get a feel for our voice and tone. Even though you’re an expert in your field, the information you share should be easy to understand and apply.
We only consider original content. We reserve the right to edit and adapt your submission before and after publication, and include links to Bench content.
And we aim to feature the work of Bench clients and partners through interviews, quotes, and imagery, where possible.
As we’re a lean team, we don’t have the resources to support you with editorial direction or revisions. Hence, we only accept submissions on spec, and we reserve the right to decline a submission for publication.
